Did you know that our God loves gardens?  In fact, the Bible says that He planted the Garden of Eden Himself (Gen. 2:8-9). He didn’t just create them in an instant as a fully-grown garden. Instead, He planted the trees there and made them grow out of the ground. But more importantly, do you know what is the most precious garden to the Lord out of all the gardens in the world? It is not a physical garden but a spiritual one – it is the garden in our hearts. In a sense, when we become Christians, God plants a garden in our own hearts. It is this garden in our hearts that He carefully tends, protects, and inspects. And as any good gardener, God looks at the garden of our hearts looking for certain characteristics that are well-pleasing in His sight. What then are these characteristics that we should cultivate in the garden of our hearts? 1. It should be enclosed. Luke 5:17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.        This passage is a beautiful demonstration of how Jesus and the Holy Spirit work together. Here was Jesus teaching but the power of the Lord to heal is said to be present. The word “present” here means "It is I." This indicates that the power of the Lord is a person and this person is the Holy Spirit. And He was present as Jesus taught. The Holy Spirit was with Jesus in the form of the Anointing. This was why healing was possible. Any healing ministry is only possible in the presence of the Holy Spirit who is the power of God to heal.      While praying and meditating about the fellowship that God has planted us in, the Lord has impressed upon me what I call as “Immediates”. These pertain to things that would require immediate obedience, immediate repentance... Things that need to be immediately addressed in our fellowship:   The immediates : 1.Immediate need for purity 2.Immediate need for faith 3.Immediate need to press in  1. Continued from THIS ARTICLE... 2. THE BAD EYE      Leviticus 21:18-20 talks about some characteristic physical defects that prohibit one from coming before the Lord. While they all have their own spiritual significance, we would like to focus on those that are associated with the eye. One defect is blindness , which is essentially the lack of vision. We have to see where we are now and where we are going! We need to walk in the present truth of God and lead other people as well to the pathway of light. Another defect is a “ blemish in the eye ” which signifies diminished sight, or blind spots in our vision. We tend to interpret truth based on the lenses that we use to see that truth. Matthew 6:22-23 NKJV The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!           Jesus tells us that the light of the body is the eye. The eye gives us a sense of vision, an awareness of the things and happenings around us.
